Jen was shortlisted for a Sony World Photography Award in 2024 for her wildland fire coverage in Alberta, Canada. She also won a grant from Carleton University in 2021 to complete a video documentary about Canada’s horse slaughter industry. It has since toured to more than ten film festivals around the world. And in 2016, Jen was the recipient of a Rory Peck bursary for hostile environments training.

Jen's recent projects of interest revolve around Climate Change. She's heavily focused on wildland fire and its aftermath - such as flooding - as well as old-growth forest protection protests in Fairy Creek, Canada. Outside of photography, she is passionate about horseback riding, avant-garde piano and fitness. It is Jen's goal to become the world’s premier fire photographer.
