Thomas Pirot (*1988) studied communication design at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2016. Since 2017, he has worked as a photographer and occasional filmmaker for Capital, Carl Zeiss, Deutsche Fußball Liga, Focus, Manager Magazin, Stern, Spiegel, SZ Magazin, taz, TIME and DIE ZEIT, among others. His assignments take him to places that would remain closed to him under other circumstances, and photography forces him in the best possible way to talk to strangers and remain curious.
