Peter Blakely is a veteran photographer who has achieved international distinction with his documentary style. Constantly on the move, Peter is equally at home in urban studios and in rugged, remote areas. As a photojournalist, he has covered conflicts in Chechnya, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Kosovo. Peter was one of the first Western photojournalists on the streets of Kabul after the fall of the Taliban.
Peter’s work has been published in many magazines worldwide, including Time, Newsweek, Forbes, BusinessWeek, New York Times, Fortune, Paris Match, Der Spiegel, Sunday Telegraph, New York Times Magazine, and National Geographic.
Recent assignments include a behind-the- scenes look at one of America’s top-rated reality TV programs, as well as a portrait series of cosmopolitan Tokyoites.
Peter currently lives in Tokyo, which serves as a hub for travel to the Russian Far East and other points in Asia.
