The University of Oregon, founded in 1876, is the state’s flagship institution. Located in Eugene, a vibrant college town, the university offers academic excellence and hands-on learning opportunities in a welcoming atmosphere. Towering trees shade the 295-acre campus, where students, faculty members and staff from a wide variety of backgrounds share a commitment to preserving the environment and pursuing innovation in more than 250 academic programs. Brad Swonetz recently photographed Kevin Butler (portrayed by actor Jerry Lambert), the Vice President of various fictitious departments within the PlayStation division of Sony Computer Entertainment. The photos were hung in the PlayStation tent at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California in mid-April.
Lambert’s potrayal of an aloof and condescending Sony video game executive have provided fodder for hilarious baseball meme’s, (Dustin Pedroia can’t hit the inside fastball) and (“Well Played, Mauer“), stood up for grandma’s who love blu-ray movies (“With a stick!“), and even managed to get a pretty good laugh out of my wife with this (accurate & hilarious) commercial.
PlayStation commissioned Brad for their display at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California. The event has several stages/tents set-up throughout the grounds, each playing live music continuously. PlayStation’s tent was also a venue for live musical performances.
