Congratulations to photographer Tiana Markova-Gold and writer Sarah Dohrmann, awarded the 2010 Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Prize from the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. Their winning project is “If You Smoke Cigarettes in Public, You Are a Prostitute: Women and Prostitution in Morocco.” Tiana’s previous projects on prostitution in America, “You must not know ’bout me…” and “Other People’s Dirty Laundry” can be found on the Redux Archive.

Also included in Best Magazine/Editorial catagory is Redux photographer Nathaniel Welch, whose image from a series shot for the Men’s Health feature, “The Beauty of the Beast,” documents the journey of a Berkshire pig from slaughter to restaurant table.

And last but certainly not least, Redux photographer Mark Leong was included in the best Photojournalism/Sport/Documentary category for his feature, “Asia’s Wildlife Trade,” for National Geographic.
