Melissa Golden

Melissa Golden is a photographer based out of Washington, DC. Her two favorite subjects are disasters and American subcultures. To this end, she has photographed religious theme parks, western megafires, the Gulf oil spill and the world of competitive air guitar.
 
Melissa is a University of Georgia graduate with degrees in International Affairs and Journalism, interests that date back to her formative years as a military brat.  She was raised in the Deep South, out west, up north and even in the Middle East. She never tires of roaming the highways and byways and eating at every greasy spoon, taco truck and street food cart along the way.
 
Melissa is a fully-credentialed member of the press and her clients include TIME, The Atlantic, Marie Claire, Essence, Inc. and the AARP Bulletin.
