Robbie McClaran

Location: Portland, Oregon

For the past thirty years Robbie McClaran has been documenting the American people and landscape. His work has been widely published and exhibited throughout the US. The entire collection of prints from his 1997 book, Angry White Men is in the permanent collection of the University of Oregon, Special Collections Library. Robbie’s magazine clients include Time, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Stern, Inc., Bloomberg Markets, Business Week, Forbes, Runner’s World, Popular Mechanics, Reader’s Digest, The New York Times Magazine, and Smithsonian. Robbie lives in Portland Oregon with his wife, Designer / Illustrator Lydia Hess and their two daughters. When not making photographs Robbie spends his time as the chief mechanic for the McClaran Soap Box Derby Racing Team.
