Ana Nance

Location: Madrid, Spain

Ana Esperanza Nance was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1969 to a Spanish mother and American father. She moved to New York City to pursue photography in 1990 after graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design. In 1990 she started work with Sygma which lead to her first assignment to go around the world in less than 100 days without the use of an airplane. From 1992-2001 Ana worked as a freelance editorial photographer in New York; her client included Mademoiselle, New York Magazine, Time Out, Time, Fortune, and Scholastic Publishing. In 2001 Ana moved to Madrid, Spain where she has exclusive agreements with El Pais and Marie Claire Spain. She continues to shoot advertising campaigns and to work with American editorials and is currently working as director of photography on a short film.
