Ingmar Nolting

Ingmar Björn Nolting (born 1995) lives and works as a freelance photographer in Leipzig, Germany. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Dortmund. He is a regular contributor to The New York Times. His work focuses on long-term photo essays that, as seen in ‘Hinter Fassaden’ (2016–2019), ́The Dream of the Poets ́ (2019–2020), ‘Road of Kolyma’ (2020) and ‘about the days ahead (2020)‘, deals with issues of social, geographical and geopolitical isolation. He is a founding member of “Docks Collective" for humanist photography. Ingmar’s work has been published in The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times, TIME Magazine, time.com, New Yorker, ZEIT Magazin, The Washington Post, Le Monde, M Magazine, The Sunday Times, GEO, The Guardian, STERN, Brand Eins, ZEIT.
