Timothy Fadek
New York, NY
Timothy has worked in 50 countries across six continents, covering news and long-term stories, often at great personal risk in order to bring attention to world events and important social issues. His photographic reporting has appeared in notable publications such as National Geographic, Smithsonian, GEO, The New Yorker, Time, The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, Stern Magazine, and Terra Mater. Attending the Eddie Adams Workshop in 1998 marked the start of my career, and the following year he was nominated for the World Press Photo / Joop Swart Masterclass. Since then, professional organizations have recognized my work with awards, such as Pictures of the Year (POYi), National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), Communication Arts, American Photography, Px3, among others. Along the way, he has also served on the juries of the Nikon photo contest, the Harry Chapin Media Awards and worked as an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and at the International Center of Photography.
